2.5T Engine + Dual Motors, 27-inch Panoramic Display: Official Images of the Genesis GV80 Hybrid

We have recently learned from official sources that the official images of the Genesis GV80 hybrid have been released. The vehicle will feature a hybrid powertrain combining a 2.5T turbocharged engine with dual electric motors, delivering a 48-horsepower boost and a 25% improvement in fuel economy; it is set to launch in South Korea this September.

In terms of exterior design, the new model retains the styling of the current gasoline version. The front end features the signature shield-shaped grille with a layered structure, while the large air intakes on the front bumper add a sporty touch. New wheel designs will also be available. The rear retains the split-style taillights, complemented by a roof spoiler and chrome accents, creating a look that exudes both sportiness and luxury.

The interior offers four new two-tone themes—featuring black, green, blue, or gray as the primary color—along with two new genuine wood trim options. The cabin is equipped with a 27-inch OLED panoramic display and the latest infotainment system, offering faster processing speeds, enhanced voice control capabilities, and Over-the-Air (OTA) update functionality. Other interior elements largely mirror the gasoline model, retaining the physical controls for the climate system and multimedia, as well as the rotary gear selector.

Regarding performance, the Genesis GV80 hybrid utilizes a system combining a 2.5T turbocharged engine with P1 and P2 electric motors. It delivers a combined output of 259 kW (352 hp) and a peak torque of 530 Nm. Mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 7.1 seconds. Beyond the significant boost in power, the hybrid version is expected to achieve a fuel economy improvement of over 25%.
