Set for September 3! Tesla’s Cybercab is set to make its official debut!
Tesla recently announced via social media that it will hold a launch event in Austin, Texas, on September 3, 2026, featuring the Cybercab autonomous taxi.
Tesla first unveiled the Cybercab—a vehicle designed specifically for fully driverless operation—at the “We, Robot” event in October 2024.
Reports indicate that Tesla has been testing the Cybercab on public roads over the past few months. In July, the company arranged for employees to experience test rides on internal roads near its Austin headquarters.
Additionally, reports suggest that Tesla has recently completed specialized training for emergency responders across Austin, focusing on accident handling and emergency response procedures related to the Cybercab.
Foreign media outlets report that Tesla will announce the official integration of the Cybercab into its Robotaxi autonomous ride-hailing service at the event. Currently, the Robotaxi fleet primarily operates using the Model Y.
